Emergency First Aid at Work – 1 Day Course

The course is designed to train delegates in both theoretical and practical aspects of First Aid to the standards required by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.  Employers have the choice between this course and the First Aid at Work 3 Day Course.   • Role of the First Aider
  • Recording Incidents
  • Primary Survey
  • Managing an Unconscious Casualty
  • CPR
  • Choking
  • Casualty Movement
  • Shock and Fainting
  • Circulatory System, Bleeding and Minor Injuries
  • Burns and Scalds
  • Injuries to Bones and Supporting Tissue
  • Seizures

In order to gain a certificate, delegates must attend all the course hours. There is no final practical assessment, however, delegates are continuously assessed for competence throughout the course.

An approved HSE Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for 3 years will be awarded to all successful delegates.
