- New starters – How to progress
- Trained Operator – RED Card
- Competent Operators – BLUE Card
NB All the above require health an safety CSCS test within 2 years of the application to CPCS
New Starters –
- Trained Operative – Red Card – Technical Test – Theory and Practical
- Conversion to Competent Operator BLUE Card – requires NVQ Level 2 plus CPCS test per category of plant
Red Cards – within 12 months from date of card expiry
- Registration and completion of NVQ Level 2
Expired Red Cards – more than 12 months from date of card expiry
- Registration and completion of NVQ Level 2
- CPCS Technical test
All Competent Operators have 12 months grace from the expiry of their - BLUE Card
Expired – BLUE Card – over 12 months form date of expiry of card – all require
- Theory test
Plus one of the following
- Up to date Log Book
- On Site Assessment (in centre)
- CPCS Practical Test
- Or NVQ Level 2 (not mandatory but recommended)
